Tomato Hornworm

Last year our tomatoes were downright luscious. Resulting in overgrowth impossible to manage. This year, we resolved to prune fastidiously.

Lovely thing about “tomaticures” – besides how much easier the fruit should be to pick – is how easy it is to spot bad guys like the tomato hornworm.  Leaves are spread out, scat is easy to spot, look up from scat, remove caterpillar.  I’ve removed three this evening, all still very small.

Tomatoes hadn’t even noticed!
