Here’s today’s idea: air bags for bananas or other easily bruised fruit. I see Ziploc or Glad being the manufacturers. You know those inflatable air bags that are used as packing material these days? They weigh very little and provide good cushioning so places like Amazon.com use them. Well, we need something like that in a sleeve-shape for bananas. You’d slip the banana into the flat bag, then inflate the bag around the fruit. Voilá – your produce is protected from lunchbox abuse. They could have variations for round fruit (peaches, plums, etc) too.
